We believe everyone has the power to be a defender.
2024 taught us that organizations are more committed than ever to preparing their teams against cyber incidents. As a cybersecurity specialist, you understand the importance of engaging and training your team to ensure everyone knows how to respond when the organization is at risk.
Erlend has written about the strong motivations that led our team to create a much-needed tool for cyber exercises that is both engaging and scalable. We've named it PrepJam. A fun and memorable name for a cybersecurity preparedness tool.
We have built PrepJam with many interactive features so that the storytelling of each scenario immediately brings your team together to think and discuss each stage of a cyber incident as a group. This way, they actively learn cybersecurity skills with minimal planning and prior knowledge, just like musicians jamming to improve their skills.
Think of PrepJam as a fire drill for cybersecurity! It's an interactive tool that allows your colleagues to gain firsthand experience from a simulated cyber threat as a team.
What can you expect from PrepJam?
Preparing together: For each stage of the exercise, you and your colleagues work together to make decisions and discuss the best course of action.
Realistic interactions: Participants engage with the exercise through their phones, receiving calls and text messages. Just like real cybercriminals would.
The Wheel of Misfortune: This feature adds real-life unpredictability to the exercise with unexpected events, justlike how unforeseen circumstances can affect a real-life cyber incident. It's a fun way to learn that sometimes, luck plays a big role in cybersecurity preparedness.
Scalable scenarios: Whether you have 10 or 300+ participants, our scenarios are designed for teams of all sizes. We've tested this extensively!
Teachable moments: Create teachable moments aligned with your goals and track changes over time with metrics and insights from each exercise.
Positive learning experience: Reinforce a positive learning experience while ensuring all participant data remains private.
PrepJam is not only great for cybersecurity preparedness but also for storytelling. During 2024 and 2025, we tested it in a 60-event roadshow, where over 5000 IT, security, and preparedness professionals from 3500 organizations participated.
